What Does Every State Constitution Have in Common?

From the beginning, the United States of America was built on the fundamental concept that men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Obviously then, our founders wanted us to know we have a Supreme Creator… Most of us, and the authors of every State Constitutions choose to call this Creator God, or Almighty God, or the Supreme Ruler of the Universe. He is the source of our freedom and laws. Look at the list below and read that EVERY state constitution acknowledges Him as the source of guidance and liberty. Can they all be wrong? NO!

Americans are not forced to worship, or not worship, as people are in some parts of the world. America is about FREEDOM. Freedom of worship: not freedom from worship. Unfortunately, world history proves that when societies become successful and wealthy those societies become ever more obsessed with wealth and power. This obsession drives feelings of reverence for the source of freedom from their hearts and minds. When God disappears from society, the death of freedom can not be far behind.

Virginia Statute of Religious FreedomIf you cherish freedom and the Republic that was formed to guarantee your liberty, it is your responsibility as a citizen of that Republic to work to preserve it. Do not waste your time by blaming the ACLU, or the NeoCons, the Republicans, or the Democrats. Become active in your communities. Get involved in the political process. Even run for office. Talk to your neighbors about the future, not about finger pointing. Blaming is a no win strategy in the long run. Don’t allow those you can influence from forgetting God. Get educated. And pray. Pray like never before for the United States of America. It has never been more important.
